Support Rules

Support Rules allow QuoteLogic to automatically add support line items to quotes based on your pricing rules.

When a pricelist item has auto_support set to true and a Support Rules configuration file has been imported, QuoteLogic dynamically generates a support item for that product during quoting.

Support items are created using the original product’s part number with a configurable prefix or suffix and are priced as a percentage of the base item.

How it works

  • Support Rules are enabled per product using the auto_support field in your pricelist
  • Support pricing rules are defined in a separate Support Rules configuration file
  • Support line items are generated automatically at quote time
  • Pricing, naming, and defaults are controlled entirely by your configuration
